  1.                      PIPE SIZING PROGRAM

  3. The demo version of the pipe sizing program is started by
  4. inserting the disk into the A drive and giving the command
  5. PIPEDEMO.  This will start the program.  The program is
  6. supplied on the demo disk as a monochrome version.  The
  7. program will request the type of monitor.  If you have a
  8. Monochrome monitor, press the letter M when requested by the
  9. program.  If you have a color system give the letter B; the
  10. program will be in Black and white.

  12. The program is unique in that it will automatically use the
  13. correct internal diameters for line sizing with different
  14. schedule pipes, and automatically uses the correct roughness
  15. values.  Various fitting can be used.  The Program is
  16. designed for a high degree of user friendly features.
  17. Function keys are used to chose between the various options.

  19. The F10 key must be pressed to run the program to calculate
  20. the line pressure drop, after the data is added.  The program
  21. requests the required data and all fields must be filled in
  22. before pressing the F10 key or an error may result.  The
  23. program will check for zero fields and request data.

  25. The return key must be pressed after inputting a data field
  26. for example the liquid flow rate, for the data to be
  27. registered.  The arrow keys can be used to move around to
  28. different data fields.

  32. LIMITATIONS  This program will calculate the pressure drop
  33. or lines size for simple single phase systems.   High
  34. pressure drop gas systems and two phase lines require a
  35. different method.

  38. This demo disk is limited to a constant flow rate of 100 gpm.
  39. Naturally, this limitation is not present on the commercial
  40. version.
